“I want to lose 10 kg”, “I want to get married”, “I want to find a job with a salary twice as much as now”… Did you write such wishes on a piece of paper to burn it to the sound of chimes?

Many people do this, but this method doesn’t help often. But there is another one – more complicated, but, according to astrologers and esotericists, much more effective.
What is asceticism?
If you explain everything in simple words, asceticism is a voluntary restriction of oneself in something for the sake of achieving a certain goal. It is mentioned in almost all sacred texts, and it does not matter what religion we are talking about – Buddhism, Christianity or Islam.
You must have heard the phrase “You have to pay for everything”. This is the essence of asceticism – you spiritually pay for the fulfillment of your desire, imposing a certain vow on yourself. Anything can become a “currency” – refusal of coffee, daily 10 thousand steps or early rises.
The main principle of asceticism is complexity. In other words, if you are a lark who wakes up at six in the morning, you can’t declare that now this is not your lifestyle, but asceticism. A person must consciously leave the comfort zone – this is the only way asceticism will work.
What kind of asceticism can be?
Self-restrictions can be introduced in a variety of areas. You can give up obscene language if you use it all the time, or stop eating foods that you often eat – for example, sugar or candy.
Physical activity is also suitable – daily exercises or an evening hour of yoga. You can make it an ascetic to develop a certain habit – promise yourself to spend an hour a day learning a foreign language or read 100 pages of a new book.
The main thing is not to forget that asceticism is an exercise for discipline. In other words, you should not read, for example, Dontsova, which helps you take a break from difficult work – it will not attract the energy that is needed to fulfill the desire.
How to perform asceticism correctly?
Basic principle: one asceticism = one wish. Do not try to cheat, trying to tie several goals to the only restriction: lose weight, find a new job, and meet a soul mate. If the goal is serious, it is possible and even necessary to take on several vows at once.
Here are the steps you need to follow sequentially, starting with asceticism:
Clearly formulate a wish. Make sure that it does not involve harming other people.
Choose a vows and a term for it. The smallest is 30 days, usually three months are devoted to asceticism.
Pronounce (or write down) your intention: “I, [name], take on asceticism [which exactly] for [term]. I dedicate my merits from her to the fulfillment of the desire [which one exactly]”.
Start fulfilling your oath. If it’s not necessary, don’t tell anyone about it.
At the end of the asceticism, say: “I, [name], took over the asceticism [what] and successfully brought it to the end. I give all the results to fulfill my desire [which one]”.
If you haven’t brought asceticism to the end, don’t be angry and don’t blame others for it. This means that the time of fulfillment of the desire has not yet come – wait for the moment when you feel the strength to cope with the limitations and try again!
